The safety laser is mounted on the trancha and is located at a height of about 9mm below the tip of the punch, sufficient distance for detection and stop in time when an obstruction is detected, thus avoiding damage by entrapment of the operator.

As the detection takes place at a distance greater than that required by the machine to stop safely, it excludes the possibility of crushing between the upper and lower tools.
